Las fiestas de San Timoteo en Luarca dan comienzo la noche del 21 de agosto con un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales y durante esa noche se celebra una verbena. Al día siguiente, 22 de agosto, tiene lugar la renombrada romería en honor a San Timoteo, congregándose los romeros en Campo que lleva su nombre para asistir a la misa en la Ermita, procesión del Santo y comida campestre, amenizada con grupos de gaitas y charangas. Es tradición llevar la T de San Timoteo.

The festivities in honour of St Timothy in Luarca begin on the night of August 21st with a fireworks display and an outdoor dance. The following day, August 22nd, features a traditional romería. Pilgrims gather in the Campo de San Timoteo to attend Mass in the chapel, followed by the procession of the saint and a lively countryside picnic. The celebration is accompanied by bagpipe bands and roving musical groups. It is tradition to wear the “T” of San Timoteo.
