FESTIVAL DE LA SIDRA NATURAL

Este festival tiene lugar la última semana de agosto y transforma por completo las calles y plazas de la ciudad, llenándolas de arte urbano y efímero. En esos días, se puede disfrutar de actividades como el mercadín de la sidra y la manzana, cursos de escanciado, el bus de la sidra, las visitas a llagares emblemáticos, el concurso de escanciadores, las representaciones teatrales, los cancios de chigre o las degustaciones populares. Estas actividades capturan la esencia de la cultura sidrera y brindan a los visitantes una experiencia inolvidable en la que la ciudad se impregna del espíritu festivo y tradicional de la sidra.

This festival takes place during the last week of August and completely transforms the city’s streets and squares, filling them with ephemeral and urban art. Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities such as the cider and apple market, cider-pouring workshops, the cider bus, tours of renowned cider mills, the cider-pouring competition, theatrical performances, traditional pub songs, and public tastings. These activities capture the very essence of cider culture and offer visitors an unforgettable experience, as the city becomes steeped in the festive and traditional spirit of cider.

Es la principal cita festiva de Gijón y viene acompañada de numerosos conciertos, eventos y actividades. Durante la ‘Semanona’, la ciudad asturiana suena más que nunca bajo el ritmo de artistas para todos los gustos y edades. La guinda festiva llega el día 14 de agosto con la Noche de los Fuegos y el 15 con el Restallón y la Danza Prima, que congrega a gijoneses, gijonesas y visitantes en la Playa de San Lorenzo.

This is Gijón’s main festive event, featuring a wide array of concerts, performances, and activities. During the Semanona, this Asturian city comes alive with music for all tastes and ages. The festivities culminate on August 14th with the Night of Fireworks, and continue on the 15th with the Restallón and the Danza Prima, which bring together locals and visitors on San Lorenzo Beach.
