El Concejo de Llanes, situado en el extremo oriental de Asturias ofrece innumerables atractivos. Historia, arte, gastronomía, cultura, playas y naturaleza se unen para presentar una oferta turística de lo más variada.

La Villa de Llanes cuenta con un magnífico casco viejo declarado Conjunto Histórico Artístico en el que destacan el Torreón del S. XIII y la muralla, la Basílica de Santa María de Conceyu y los palacios de Posada Herrera, El Cercáu y Gastañaga. La arquitectura indiana también está presente en edificios como el Casino y, por último, la vanguardia nos llega de la mano de los “Cubos de la Memoria” obra del artista Agustín Ibarrola.

Otro gran protagonista en Llanes es el mar, responsable de esculpir en los acantilados los Monumentos Naturales de los Bufones de Arenillas y de Santiuste y las Playas de Gulpiyuri y Cobijeru aunque sí por algo destaca la costa del Concejo es por sus más de treinta playas.

La belleza paisajística del Concejo de Llanes ha servido en numerosas ocasiones como atractivo para atraer gran número de rodajes de películas, series y spots publicitarios, sirviendo como base a uno de sus productos más reconocidos, el itinerario Llanes de Cine, que recorre las localizaciones de rodajes como El Orfanato, de J.A. Bayona.

Completa su oferta una rica y extraordinaria gastronomía que ofrece especialidades en pescados, mariscos, quesos y platos típicos como la fabada, los tortos o las verdinas. Sin olvidar la riqueza de su folclore y tradiciones reflejadas en sus fiestas, algunas de la cuales están declaradas de Interés Turístico.

The Council of Llanes, located in the easternmost part of Asturias, offers countless attractions. History, art, gastronomy, culture, beaches and nature come together to present a wide variety of tourism offerings.

The town of Llanes boasts a magnificent old quarter, declared a Historic-Artistic Grouping, featuring a 13th-century Tower and wall, the Basilica of Santa María de Conceyu, and the palaces of Posada Herrera, El Cercáu, and Gastañaga. “Indiano” (Spanish emigrants to the Americas who returned enriched) architecture is also present in buildings such as the Casino and, finally, the avant-garde comes in the form of the ‘Cubos de la Memoria’ (Cubes of Memory), by the artist Agustín Ibarrola.

Another major protagonist in Llanes is the sea, responsible for sculpting the cliffs of the Natural Monuments of the Bufones de Arenillas and Santiuste and the beaches of Gulpiyuri and Cobijeru. However, if the Council’s coastline stands out for a reason, it is for its more than thirty beaches.

The scenic beauty of the Council of Llanes has often served as an incentive to attract a large number of film, television and advertising productions to be shot on location and has become the basis for one of its most renowned products, the Llanes Film Route, which visits the filming locations of such movies as J.A. Bayona’s El orfanato (The Orphanage).

Completing its offer is a rich and extraordinary gastronomy that offers specialties in fish, seafood, cheeses, and typical dishes such as “fabada” (Asturian fava bean stew), “tortos” (Asturian cornbread), or “verdinas” (verdina bean stew). Not to mention the richness of its folklore and traditions reflected in its festivals, some of which have been declared of Tourist Interest.
