FIESTA DE EL MERCAÓN

Esta interesante Feria de Ganado expone reses de diferentes regiones españolas, destacando la vaca asturiana de los valles, en la que se congregan muchos compradores y vendedores que generan un gran ambiente en el recinto ferial y también en el concejo ya que muchos disfrutan de los callos, el picadillo, el panchón o las casadiellas como muestra de la gastronomía allerana.

This notable livestock fair showcases cattle from different regions of Spain, with a special focus on the Asturian cow from the valleys. It attracts numerous buyers and sellers, creating a lively atmosphere both at the fairgrounds and throughout the municipality. Many visitors also enjoy traditional Aller dishes such as callos, picadillo, panchón, and casadiellas, celebrating the region’s rich gastronomy.

Desde 1905, cada 11 de Noviembre, fiesta local en el concejo de Aller, Moreda se viste de gala para celebrar una de las citas más populares y clásicas del otoño asturiano.

La fiesta de Los Humanitarios cuenta con los rituales típicos de misa, desfile de carrozas y folclore asturiano pero es muy original porque nace del asociacionismo vecinal, galardonados con el Pueblo Ejemplar de Asturias, con una finalidad social y solidaria de apoyo a los más desfavorecidos además de que la gastronomía típica de la fiesta – fabada y casadielles principalmente – incorpora también el panchón, postre allerano por excelencia.

Los Humanitarios son la conjunción perfecta entre la confraternidad solidaria, y la fiesta asturiana en torno al buen comer y beber.

THE HUMANITARIANS’ FESTIVAL

Since 1905, every November 11th, an official holiday in the municipality of Aller, the town of Moreda dresses up to host one of the most popular and traditional autumn festivals in Asturias.

The Fiesta de Los Humanitarios follows the typical customs of Mass, parades, and Asturian folklore, but stands out for its unique origin in local community organizing. Recognised with the Exemplary Town of Asturias award, the association behind the festival was founded with a social and charitable purpose: to support those most in need. Alongside its festive spirit, the event also celebrates local cuisine. While fabada and casadielles are staples, the festival also highlights panchón, the signature dessert of the Aller region.
