La provincia de Teruel nos invita a recorrerla a través de la belleza de sus pueblos. No en vano, cuenta con siete de los pueblos más bonitos de España. La señorial ciudad de Albarracín, con sus casas colgantes y los restos del castillo del siglo XI, nos permite contemplar un entramado de callejuelas de trazado medieval de gran encanto. Callejeando por Rubielos de Mora, nos encontramos con un sinfín de casas solariegas y pequeños palacios, como la sede del ayuntamiento que nos recuerdan que esta localidad del sur de Aragón fue encrucijada geográfica, cultural y económica. Puertomingalvo es un pintoresco lugar de estrechas calles, de edificios de arquitectura popular, con sus máximos exponentes en el ayuntamiento del siglo XIV y en su imponente castillo. El trazado medieval de Cantavieja, donde destaca su espectacular plaza porticada, invita a callejear por rincones y asomarse a sus miradores, desde los que podemos ver la imponente Muela Monchen o la Vega de San Antonio. Entre murallas, Mirambel se asoma a la historia con su precioso Portal de las Monjas y se presta a la contemplación, al disfrute de los sentidos y a la creación, un lugar para el descanso. Entre piedras, paredes, suelos, caminos y esquinas se crea Valderrobres. En el siglo XIV comenzó el amurallamiento y fortificación del casco, y se construyó el puente de piedra que da la bienvenida, atravesando el río. En la parte alta, el castillo preside el lugar majestuosamente. Y terminamos este recorrido en Calaceite, la capital cultural del Matarraña, donde su plaza mayor y sus casas solariegas en piedra, decoradas con balcones de forja son la seña de identidad de una provincia, que es para sentirla y disfrutarla.

The Teruel province invites us to a tour through the beauty of its towns. Not without reason, since seven of the most beautiful towns in Spain are located here. The stately city of Albarracín, with its hanging houses and the remains of a 11th century castle, which allows the visitor to gaze at a tapestry of really charming Medieval style streets. Wandering about Rubielos de Mora, we can find lots of manors and small palaces, like the townhouse, which reminds us that this municipality in the south of Aragon was a geographical, cultural and economical crossroad. Puertomingalvo is a picturesque place of narrow streets, popular architecture buildings, whose biggest assets are the 14th century townhouse and the impressive castle. The Medieval layout of Cantavieja, where the spectacular arcaded square stands out, invites the visitor to wander about its corners and peek out of its balconies, from where we can see the impressive Mount Monchen or the San Antonio Meadow. Between walls, Mirambel glances towards history with its wonderful Nuns Portal, and Mirambel calls for contemplation, enjoyment of the senses and the creation, a place for resting. Between stones, walls, floors, paths and corners, Valderrobres is created. In the 14th century, the strengthening and building of the walls of the town center began, and the stone bridge that welcomes the visitor was built, crossing the river. In the higher part, the castle greatly presides the place. And we finish our tour in Calaceite, the cultural capital of the Matarraña region, where the main square and the stony manors, decorated with forged balconies are the identity sign of a province to enjoy and feel.
Teruel, ciudad del amor
Teruel, es indiscutiblemente, una ciudad perfecta para disfrutar de una escapada romántica. La Ciudad de los Amantes propone multitud de opciones para hacer especiales unos días de vacaciones. Sobre las calles de esta ciudad se fraguó una de las mejores historias de amor de nuestro pasado. Isabel de Segura y Diego de Marcilla, los Amantes de Teruel que murieron en el siglo XIII en trágicas circunstancias. Desde entonces, Teruel posee un imán especial para las parejas. Narra la historia, como, enamorados desde muy jóvenes, él parte a la guerra para hacer fortuna con la promesa de Isabel de cinco años de espera. Con el plazo cumplido y la noticia de la muerte en la batalla, Isabel se casa. Pero Diego no había muerto, regresa con las campanadas de boda en busca de su amada, que le niega el beso. Él muere de amor, y al día siguiente, en su entierro, Isabel le da el beso que le negó en vida y cae muerta sobre el cuerpo de su amado. Desde entonces sus restos reposan juntos en el Mausoleo de los Amantes, lugar muy visitado en la ciudad, incluso escenario de muchas pedidas de mano.
Con las torres mudéjares Patrimonio de la Humanidad o los edificios modernistas que salpican el centro histórico al fondo, acompañado de la rica y variada gastronomía de la zona hará que la estancia en la ciudad se convierta en un recuerdo inolvidable.
Teruel, city of love
Unarguably, Teruel is the perfect city for a romantic getaway. The City of the Lovers offers a variety of options to make your trip days special. On the streets of this city one of the best love stories of our history happened. Isabel de Segura and Diego de Marcilla, the Lovers of Teruel who died in the 18th century in tragic circumstances.
