Junio es un mes muy festivo en el concejo de Salas ya que los días 24 y 28 se celebran las fiestas de San Juan en Cornellana y también en Malleza, con hogueras, música tradicional, danza y comidas comunales en la plaza del pueblo además de deportes rurales asturianos. Las fiestas de San Pedro en Mallecina añaden concurso ganadero y muchas actividades festivas a finales del mes.

June

June is a lively month in the municipality of Salas, with the feast of San Juan celebrated on the 24th and 28th in Cornellana and Malleza. Bonfires, traditional music and dance, and communal meals in the village squares are central to the celebrations, along with demonstrations of rural Asturian sports. The San Pedro festivities in Mallecina round out the month with a livestock competition and a full schedule of local celebrations.

El concejo de Salas ofrece variedad de folklore y festejos a lo largo del verano. En junio, los días 24 y 28, las fiestas de San Juan en Cornellana y de San Pedro en Mallecina dan paso a La Festona en La Espina del mes de julio siendo la capital Salas protagonista de un agosto con espectaculares romerías como las del Viso el día 15 y la de Santa Ana el día 20.

JUNE, JULY & AUGUST

The municipality of Salas offers a rich variety of folklore and festivities throughout the summer. In June, the celebrations of San Juan in Cornellana (June 24) and San Pedro in Mallecina (June 28) give way to La Festona in La Espina in July. In August, the town of Salas becomes the main stage for spectacular romerías, including those of El Viso on the 15th and Santa Ana on the 20th.

SAN ROQUE

Agosto

La festividad de San Roque es la más destacada del concejo y se celebra en la villa de Salas cada 16 de agosto. Esta fiesta, profundamente arraigada, mezcla actos religiosos con una animada programación lúdica y cultural con actividades típicas, procesión solemne, misa mayor, desfile de gaiteros y bandas de música, así como las verbenas populares.

August

San Roque is the most important celebration in the municipality of Salas, held every year on August 16 in the town itself. Deeply rooted in local tradition, the festivities combine solemn religious ceremonies with lively cultural and recreational events, including a grand procession, traditional mass, a parade of bagpipers and marching bands, and vibrant open-air dances.
